Who is riding?

A group of influential female cyclists will join me for parts on this journey. Each member is well-established in their cycling community and are influencers through their social media channels and international publications. With a global presence we are reaching millions of people. This is us:

Me: Monika aka RAD Monika (German living in Spain)

I am the instigator of this mission and a full-time adventure cyclist, writing and filming stories with an international reach including Cyclingtips, Gran Fondo Cycling Magazine and Huffington Post.

Reason for cycling: I can travel anywhere in the world and I immediately have a community to connect with.

Favorite type of cycling: Ultra-light solo adventures and tough endurance challenges like Dirty Kanza, Haute Route Triple Crown, Tour du Mont Blanc

Best ride location: Haute Alps, France

Selene Yeager (USA)

Selene is a professional writer, who has authored and co-authored 5 books on cycling and is a contributing editor to Bicycling Magazine. She is an NASM certified personal trainer, pro mountain bike racer, and All-American Ironman triathlete.

Reason for cycling: It shows me what I am capable of. There’s no better way to see the world. I love the cycling community.

Favorite type of cycling: Mountain bike stage races like ABSA Cape Epic, Brasil Ride, and Epic Israel. I also enjoy gravel races and adventure rides.

Best ride location: My own back yard in Pennsylvania, USA.

Lorena Jones (UK)

Lorena,an Athlete Lab London and Haute Route ambassador works for Total Women’s Cycling and Cooler Lifestyle (among other sprorts titles – the two mentioned are female specific). She is the first female to complete the @RidetheTrafalgarWay colossus route

Reason for cycling: Because cycling opens up a world of opportunity; the opportunity to search for and surpass my own limits, the opportunity to explore places I may never have seen otherwise and the opportunity to connect with people and form life-long friendships

Favorite type of cycling: Track cycling, 24hr time trials (e.g Trans Wales – North to South, Ride the Trafalgar Way and Revolve24),  and multi-stage endurance challenges (e.g Haute Route Pyrenees, Dolomites and Norway, the Tuscany Trail and self supported adventures).

Best ride location: Norway (so far)

Mayalen Noriega Belausteguigoitia (Born in Mexico City lives in Spain)

Maya is a professional MTB racer but is well versed in other disciplines such as her second place in the Spanish National Championships in the ITT, road race, and on
the track (scratch) She also qualified for the Rio Olympics in Tandem.

Reason for cycling: What she loves most of cycling is all the places you get to see and enjoy while your on your bike, and all the people you get to meet on the

Best ride location: Colorado, for her it is paradise where her love for cycling started.
